SERVICES FOR EASTER 2008

Palm Sunday – 16th March 2008

On Palm Sunday at 10am we celebrate with Holy Communion the entry of Jesus into Jerusalem.  This marks the start of Holy Week.

We hope that we may be able to have the donkey with us again this year.  Palm Sunday is also our Gift Day this year.

Maundy Thursday - 20th March 2008

On Maundy Thursday all are invited to practice the Easter Day hymns with the choir starting at 6.30pm and continuing with an informal Holy Communion and concluding with light refreshments with wine.

On Maundy Thursday we bring to mind the Last Supper of Jesus.

Good Friday – 21st March 2008

On Good Friday the church is open for the traditional three hours between 12noon and 3pm.  You may come into church at any time during the first two hours for quiet reflection.

During the last hour from 2pm there will be a bible reflection, prayers and hymns.  On Good Friday we keep a vigil in remembrance of the crucifixion of Jesus.

Easter Sunday – 23rd March 2008

On Easter Day at 10am we have “All-age” worship with Holy Communion to celebrate the resurrection of Jesus.

Wheels for the World

Sue Pimentel from St. Paul’s has just returned from an exciting trip to Tanzania with the charity Wheels for the World.  Read how this amazing trip went

I would like to share a few thoughts about the trip with you about God’s perfect timing and the way He answers our prayers so abundantly.

The team met at Heathrow airport knowing that the container with the wheelchairs, which had left in February, was still impounded at the port in Tanga.  As we boarded the plane we received a text to say that it had just been released.  (more….)

See the first set of pictures from the trip.

Naughty but Nice!

Liz from St. Paul’s does the business with Say it with Chocolate.
