What an interesting and busy Christmas! First of all I was ill in the two week build up to Christmas confined to bed where my lovely wife brought me lots of cups of tea! This meant that essay writing and exam revision would have to be left to the first week in January at which point it was due in! I got better in time for Christmas day, which was just as well as I had a very important job to do that day. My Church had decided to for the first time every to have a Church family Christmas dinner on Christmas day, 80 people came along! Somewhere in the planning my name was put forward to be one of three people who would cook the meal! So there I was in the kitchen cooking a full turkey roast with all the trimmings for 80 people, fortunately I inherited my Mum’s genes when it comes to cooking and not Dad’s so it turn out to be a great success! Me and Zoe then did a whirl wind tour of both families before racing back to Bristol to write my essay and revise for my exam (which I passed).
I would like to thank the PCC for the £500 pounds they sent to support my training and the whole of St Paul’s for their continued support and prayers for both me and Zoe, we both really appreciate it. We are about to start the process of looking for a curacy for June 2013 (which is a 3-4 year ‘training post’ at a church under a vicar) and would appreciate prayer for this. I will in my next blog explain how this process works, hopefully by then I will understand it myself! |
