St. Paul’s, Vacancy Prayer…
Father God, we thank you for your great love towards our church family,
for speaking to us through your Word and Holy Spirit and for your
presence with us. We ask for more of your presence and power.

Thank you for leading us to this point and for joining us together in unity,
may we be family, loving one another. We want to be obedient to all you
ask us to do, standing in the gap for your people Israel, firmly
standing on your word and proclaiming the gospel message. Use us to
show your love to the community you have placed us in, that this church
will be filled to overflowing with lives transformed and committed
to Jesus.

We pray our new incumbent will be Christ centred, truly believing the bible
is the inspired word of God and in its authority. An Evangelical, Charismatic
filled with the Holy Spirit, encouraging, motivating and prayerful, open to
the Holy Spirit’s leading, encouraging us all in the gifts of the Holy Spirit.
May they covenant with us in understanding the Jewish roots of the
Christian faith, the importance of Israel in the end times and reject
replacement theology. We pray like us they have a longing for outreach to
be effective.

May we be patient, waiting upon you, but we cry out to you asking that
you will clear the way so that a new appointment can be made here soon.

We ask for wisdom, discernment and energy for our Bishop, Archdeacon,
Churchwardens and Parish reps, Andrew and Leigh, and the PCC. May we
have an ear to hear what the Spirit is saying to the Churches.

We pray for the person you have already chosen for this position. Please
prompt and speak to them now through your Holy Spirit. May they hear
and love you so much, as to be obedient to your call.
We ask this all in Jesus name.
